Start with the exact input
Overwatch 2 comparisons need a named hero. Primary fire, alternate fire, movement and abilities can mean very different things across the roster. A controller test that changes both the hero and the settings cannot isolate an input change.
What to record before changing settings
| Check | Write down | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Hero and weapon | Record the selected hero and fire mode. | A held beam, a repeated projectile and a charged action are different tests. |
| Hero settings | Check whether a hero-specific override is active. | A global setting may not be the setting the current hero uses. |
| Input task | Name the aim, charge, alternate-fire or ability action. | A result from one action should not be labeled a universal aim improvement. |
A useful first comparison
- In practice, select one hero and record the active controller settings. Confirm normal movement and camera response before testing extra sequences.
- Choose a short repeatable task with the same target, distance and starting state. Take several attempts before making a change.
- Change one item, repeat the task and write down the observations. Return to the old setting if the action is less clear; keep both records.
When to repeat the check
After a hero change or balance update, start a new comparison rather than combining the results with an older one. These are input observations, not a measured ranking, accuracy or competitive advantage score.
Check the current game and platform rules for your setup. A controller connection and permission to use additional input hardware are separate questions.
Documentation and next steps
Use Overwatch 2 official information for the current game documentation and the Cronus hardware guide for the device connection. This article does not claim a current GamePack exists for every platform or game edition.
Ozark ERA is an NBA 2K27 product. The other game articles are general controller references; they do not extend ERA support to those games.
